JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATIONS
JHPS, Hyderabad and JHPS; Global Learning, celebrated Janmashtami with great zeal and traditional fervour on 3 September 2026. The joy of the occasion was brought alive by the Pre-Primary students, who looked adorable dressed as Lord Krishna, Radha and Krishna’s companions. Their colourful attire was complemented with peacock-feather crowns, while the auditorium was beautifully decorated with flutes and earthen pots, adding to the festive charm.
The festivities commenced with a special assembly, where students invoked divine blessings through melodious devotional songs. The soulful singing created a serene and spiritual ambience, setting a pious tone for the day. Children adorned in vibrant and colourful costumes presented graceful dances, engaging skits portraying various Krishna Leelas from the life of Lord Krishna. The performances were not only delightful to watch but also conveyed righteousness, love, compassion, and truth.
The Principal, Ms. Kanchana Valli appreciated the students’ performances and the teachers’ dedication in maintaining discipline and ensuring the programme’s success. She extended her warm Janmashtami wishes to everyone.
The celebrations reached an exciting finale with the traditional Dahi Handi activity. The students participated with great excitement in ‘Utti Kottadam’, the ceremonial breaking of the earthen pot, reflecting the lively and playful character associated with Lord Krishna.
The Janmashtami celebration concluded with happiness and enthusiasm, leaving the students with wonderful memories. The event served as a meaningful blend of tradition, culture, creativity and value-based learning, helping the children appreciate the significance of the festival and the enduring values associated with Lord Krishna.
