CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING
Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad, organized a Capacity Building Programme on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) on June 8, 2026. The session was led by Dr. Sunir Nagi, Academic Director and Principal of Delhi International School and Ms. Michelle Dsylva, Well-being and Career Counsellor at Silver Oaks High School. The programme aimed to equip educators with effective strategies to integrate social and emotional learning into everyday classroom practices.
The resource persons highlighted the significance of self-awareness, emotional regulation, relationship-building and responsible decision-making in students’ overall development. Through interactive activities, discussions and practical examples, teachers explored ways to foster empathy, resilience, collaboration and student well-being. The session also focused on incorporating SEL into classroom management and curriculum planning to create supportive learning environments.
The programme concluded with teachers gaining valuable insights into nurturing emotionally healthy and confident learners. Participants appreciated the practical approaches and engaging sessions, which reinforced the importance of holistic education. The school reaffirmed its commitment to promoting student well-being and creating inclusive classrooms where every child feels valued, supported and empowered to succeed.
