Fostering Global Perspectives and Leadership
Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad, witnessed a remarkable two-day Model United Nations (MUN) Conference, JHPS MUN 3.0, on 7th and 8th August 2026. The conference brought together around 500 enthusiastic delegates from Grades 8 to 12, providing them with a vibrant platform to develop diplomacy, leadership, collaboration and critical-thinking skills while engaging with pressing global issues. The delegates participated in committees and deliberated on contemporary concerns such as international maritime disputes, nuclear proliferation, cyber threats, mental health, climate resilience, sustainable development, cultural heritage, humanitarian rights, foreign interference and global preparedness for future pandemics.
The conference was inaugurated with an inspiring address by the Principal, Ms. P. Kanchana Valli, who emphasised the significance of such forums in preparing students to become responsible global citizens and future leaders. Throughout the sessions, the committees witnessed engaging debates, thoughtful discussions and well-researched speeches, reflecting the delegates’ strong understanding of world affairs. The event was graced by distinguished guests Rtn. PDG Sharath Choudari and Ms. Samta, President of Rotary Club of Hyderabad Royals, whose presence added great value to the conference. Their interaction with the delegates encouraged them to strengthen their leadership qualities, broaden their perspectives and approach global challenges with confidence and sensitivity.
The conference concluded on a celebratory note with awards presented to the best-performing delegates, including Best Delegate, High Commendation and Special Appreciation. The JHPS 3.0 Organising Committee expressed its gratitude to the President of Jubilee Hills Education Society, Sri A. Murali Mukund, for his constant inspiration and support. A vibrant Social Night provided the delegates with an opportunity to unwind connect with one another and build lasting friendships. JHPS MUN 3.0 was an enriching and transformative experience that successfully blended intellectual engagement, collaboration and learning, setting a new benchmark for student-led global discourse and leadership development.
