AI WORKSHOP: EMPOWERING STUDENTS FOR THE DIGITAL FUTURE

Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad, hosted an engaging Artificial Intelligence workshop for students of Classes IX to XII on 12 August 2026, in collaboration with Samsung and The Times of India. The programme was designed to help young learners understand how AI is influencing education, careers and everyday life. Mr. Dilip, the AI Facilitator, guided the students through an interactive session that combined awareness, practical learning and responsible use of emerging technology.
The workshop introduced students to the idea of becoming informed and responsible users of AI rather than depending on technology blindly. A major focus was Prompt Engineering, where students learnt how the quality and clarity of a prompt can influence the usefulness of an AI-generated response. The facilitator shared a practical Prompt Framework and encouraged students to frame precise instructions, evaluate the information received and verify facts through reliable sources. The session also highlighted the importance of human judgement, creativity, ethical awareness and critical thinking while working with AI tools.
The learning experience became livelier through an open Question-and-Answer interaction, with students exploring topics such as future career opportunities, ethical concerns and real-world applications of Artificial Intelligence. A quiz added an element of healthy participation, with ten students receiving e-vouchers worth ₹1,000 each. The workshop concluded with a strong message that AI should complement learning and research, not replace them. The programme thus encouraged students to approach technology with curiosity, responsibility and confidence, preparing them to become thoughtful digital citizens in an increasingly AI-driven world.
