DIWALI CELEBRATIONS
Spreading the Light of Happiness and Harmony
JHPS, Hyderabad and Global Learning celebrated the festival of lights on 6 November 2026 with immense joy and festive fervour. The celebration brought the school community together, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and timeless values associated with Diwali. The celebration reflected the spirit of togetherness and highlighted the cultural significance of this auspicious festival, symbolising the victory of good over evil and light over darkness.
The festivities began with a special assembly that featured colourful dance performances and melodious musical presentations by the students. A thought-provoking skit formed an important part of the programme, conveying the message of celebrating Diwali with care and consideration for animals. It encouraged students to refrain from bursting harmful crackers and embrace safer ways of celebrating the festival.
Through their impressive performances, the students highlighted the importance of kindness, compassion, truth and righteousness. The presentations also brought attention to the adverse impact of firecrackers, particularly noise and air pollution on the environment.
The President of Jubilee Hills Education Society, Sri A. Murali Mukund graced the occasion. The Director, Ms. M. Varalakshmi encouraged the students to embrace Diwali by choosing eco-friendly safe firecrackers with lights and spreading awareness about protecting nature.
The celebration served as a gentle reminder that the real joy of Diwali comes from sharing happiness, spreading positivity and showing compassion towards all. It was a beautiful confluence of tradition, creativity and environmental consciousness, leaving the students with meaningful lessons and joyful memories of a responsible and thoughtful Diwali celebration.
