Tyagaraja Aradhana is an annual Carnatic music festival in the divine memory of great saint and composer Sri Thyagaraja. This Mahotsav is conducted in Thiruvayaru where top musicians perform every day during the five day festival in this time of the year.
True to its Motto and taking forward Tradition to the forthcoming generations, Jubilee Hills Public School conducted a replica of the event. The Aradhanaotsav began with the garlanded photograph of the Saint being carried by students and teachers as they sang the famous kriti “Bantureethi Koluvu”. The students ascended the stage which wore a divine ambience with portraits and statues of the Revered Saint. The students led by their Music teacher invoked the blessings of the Lord as the Principal, teachers and Parents lighted the lamp signifying the beginning of the musical performance.
The students along with the Music Teacher began the musical rendition with the Kriti “Gajananayautham” and created a solemn atmosphere. The other Kritis performed by the talented batch of students were “Rama kodhanda ram, Gandhamu puyaruga, and Kamalapthakula”. The audience listened to these divine musical renditions in rapt attention and enjoyed the presentation. It was truly commendable for these small children to sing the notes of classical Carnatic music to perfection. The highlight of the event was the rendition of one of the Pancharatna kritis : “Endharo Mahanubhavulu” by the Music Teacher. It left the audience spellbound.
The event concluded with Mangalam. The efforts of the students were applauded by the Principal.
