Jubilee Hills Public School celebrated Sankranti on 10th January, 2025 with great fervor and enthusiasm, creating an atmosphere of joy and togetherness. The event was a vibrant display of talent and culture, marked by captivating performances and thoughtful messages.
The celebrations were enhanced by a variety of cultural events that showcased the rich heritage of the festival through traditional dances, melodious songs, and a heartfelt skit that beautifully depicted the essence of Sankranti – a festival symbolizing gratitude, prosperity, and community bonding.
Coinciding with the festivities, the school also observed National Youth Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. Speeches delivered by students highlighted the life, values, and vision of Swami Vivekananda, inspiring everyone to embrace his teachings of self-confidence, service, and perseverance.
The event was addressed by the Director, Ms. M. Varalakshmi Ma’am, who extended her heartfelt Sankranti wishes to all. She emphasized on the importance of celebrating the festival that signifies our culture and heritage. Her words resonated with the audience, leaving them motivated to strive for excellence and unity.
The celebrations came to an end with a lively and colorful kite-flying event. The students designed and crafted vibrant kites in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors which transformed the school’s playground into a lively scene filled with enthusiasm and cheers of the students. The students competed with each other to see whose kites could soar the highest. This heartwarming event fostered teamwork and friendly competition among them.
Overall, the celebration was a perfect blend of tradition, inspiration, and joy that brought together in celebrating the spirit of Sankranti with love, fun, laughter and learning.
