The vibrant festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm at Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad on 23rd August, 2024.
The celebrations began with a special assembly where students offered prayers through devotional songs. The soulful rendition created a spiritual atmosphere, setting the tone for the day’s events. Dressed in colourful attire, students from various classes performed dances, skits and songs that depicted different episodes from Lord Krishna’s life. Apart from being enjoyable, these performances also taught the virtues of righteousness, love, and truth.
Director, Ms.M.Varalakshmi in her message reminded the students that Lord Krishna’s life teaches us that friendships built on love, care and selflessness, are the most valuable treasures in life.
A special Dahi Handi event was organized for the students, which added an element of excitement and joy. Students eagerly participated in breaking the traditional earthen pot, symbolizing the mischievous and playful nature of Lord Krishna.
These celebrations instilled a sense of cultural pride and spiritual awareness amongst the students.
