Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad celebrated Janmashtami on 13th August, 2025 with devotion and joy through a vibrant cultural programmes. The event featured soulful songs, graceful dances like Krishnastami, Swagatham Krishna, Sri Krishna Ratha Yathra and Brundavanamalli, along with a Telugu skit Krishna Leelalu. The highlight was the traditional pot-breaking, cheered with great enthusiasm. Principal Ms. P.Kanchana Valli addressed the gathering, highlighting the festival’s significance and appreciating the efforts of the Art, Music and Dance Departments. The festival of Janmashtami, marking the birth of Lord Krishna, was celebrated on 13th August, 2025 with great devotion and enthusiasm at Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad. The entire campus was filled with festive fervor as students from different classes came together to present a vibrant cultural programme dedicated to Lord Krishna. The event was graced by President Shri Murali Mukund Sir, Director Ms.M.Varalakshmi, Principal, Ms. P.Kanchana Valli, Primary Headmistress, Ms.Vidhu Mohan, Secondary Headmistress, Ms.Sreedevi Sriram, coordinators, teachers, esteemed guests, parents and students. The celebration beautifully reflected the spirit of Lord Krishna’s teachings, traditions and cultural vibrancy.The programme commenced with a Prayer Song invoking divine blessings. This was followed by “Krishnastami”, a delightful performance by the primary students of Classes IV and V, capturing the joy and innocence of Krishna’s childhood. A speech on the significance of the festival by a Class V student enlightened the audience about the values of love, righteousness and devotion associated with Janmashtami.
The pre-primary students of Nursery and LKG charmed everyone with their graceful “Swagatham Krishna” dance, spreading festive cheer. The celebrations continued with a soulful Hindi song by the students of Classes 6, 7, and 8, praising the glory of Lord Krishna. The students of Class V brought alive the festive grandeur through the energetic “Sri Krishna Ratha Yathra” dance, while the Telugu skit “Krishna Leelalu” by students of Classes VI–IX vividly portrayed episodes from Lord Krishna’s childhood with humor and devotion. The “Brundavanamalli” dance by Grade VII students was another highlight, capturing the cultural and traditional essence of the festival.
The most awaited moment of the celebration was the Pot Breaking event, which filled the atmosphere with excitement, laughter and joy, recreating the playful spirit of Lord Krishna.
In her address, Principal Ms. P. Kanchana Valli highlighted the significance of Janmashtami, emphasizing how Krishna’s life teaches values of truth, justice and devotion. She appreciated the efforts of the Art, Music and Dance departments for organizing such a vibrant and culturally enriching programme.
