Vanamahotsav

Trees are the kindest things we grow. This has been rightly said as the needs of all the living beings are fulfilled by them but their depleting number has become a serious issue. To create awareness in the students -Jubilee Hills Public School celebrated ‘Vanamahotsav’ virtually on 14th July, 2020 despite the existing pandemic which has engulfed the world.

The Primary Science Department HOD, Ms. Kamini Lata and her team hosted the program. Children wholeheartedly participated in virtual assembly. Saanvi Garg of class IV-A, shared her constructive views on the impact of planting more trees and making the environment safe for mankind. This was followed by a dance performed by Apoorva of class V-G showing devotion towards Lord Ganesha. Ananya from class III-D portrayed a wonderful dance on the significance of plants in our lives. Finally, Anshuman Dobal from class V-G recited a poem in Hindi titled, “Vriksh” on the selfless nature of trees.

The event concluded with several messages by Heads and teachers on ‘Vanamahotsav’ which reminded us of our duties and commitment towards nature and environment. It was a beautiful effort and was appreciated by the parents, who too could watch it from the comfort of their homes.
