The INTACH Filmit India – Film Festival 2025 was successfully conducted on 12th February, 2025, at Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad, bringing together students from various schools across the city. The festival aimed to encourage young minds to explore and present India’s rich cultural heritage through short films on themes such as nature, pets, hobbies, values, and Hyderabad’s heritage.
The event began with a vibrant dance performance by the talented students of Jubilee Hills Public School, setting the stage for an inspiring and engaging festival. The festival was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including the chief guest, Mr. Arvind Achanta, a renowned cinematographer and research associate at Mirage Media. Additionally, INTACH team members Ms. Anuradha Reddy, Convener of INTACH Hyderabad, and Mr. Abhishek Das, Senior Programme Manager of INTACH New Delhi, graced the occasion with their presence.
The highlight of the festival was the screening of remarkable student-made films, reflecting their unique perspectives on various themes. Jubilee Hills Public School students showcased outstanding talent, winning three prestigious awards. Saanvi Khandelia (Class 8B) & Reddi Dhanvi (Class 8E) bagged the awards for the following film categories:
Best Concept Film – Mangala Art,
Best Documentary Film – Haatiyon Ka Jhaad
Best Proactive Film – The Araku Valley.
The INTACH Filmit India – Film Festival 2025 at Jubilee Hills Public School was a resounding success, fostering creativity and a deep sense of cultural appreciation among students. It provided a valuable opportunity for young minds to express their understanding of heritage through the art of filmmaking.
