Constitution Day Celebration

In accordance with the countrywide celebrations to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India, the students and staff of Jubilee Hills Public School celebrated Constitution Day on 26th November, 2024 with great zeal and zest. It was a memorable event that showcased the essence of the Indian Constitution and its visionary makers. A variety of engaging programs and activities were conducted to instill constitutional values and the spirit of democracy among students.

Highlights of the Celebration:

  1. Morning Assembly:

The program began with a special assembly, including a patriotic song emphasizing the values enshrined in the Constitution.

  1. Reading of the Preamble:

Students and staff collectively recited the Preamble of the Indian Constitution, reaffirming their commitment to the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

  1. Role Play on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar:

A thought-provoking role play on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, was performed by students. The enactment highlighted his struggles and contributions to the framing of the Constitution.

  1. Craft Activity:

Students crafted creative bookmarks and wall hangings featuring constitutional values and ideologies such as equality, justice, fundamental rights, duties, and the importance of democracy

  1. Poster Making on ‘The Making of the Constitution’:

Students enthusiastically participated in a poster-making competition, showcasing artistic interpretations of the process and significance of drafting the Constitution.

  1. Collage on Dr. Ambedkar:

A collage depicting the life and achievements of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as a reformer and Constitution maker was prepared by students and displayed prominently.

  1. Quiz Competition:

An inter-class quiz competition on constitutional knowledge tested students’ understanding of the history, key articles, and values of the Indian Constitution.

  1. Extempore Speech Contest:

Students participated in an extempore speech competition, where they eloquently expressed their thoughts on topics related to democracy, rights, and the Constitution.

The celebration emphasized the importance of understanding and upholding constitutional values. The event was a resounding success in educating and inspiring students to value the Constitution and its principles, fostering a sense of pride and responsibility as citizens of India.
