CLASS-X-INTER CLASS DEBATE

An Inter-Class Debate Competition was held in the Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad on June 27, 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Class X who engaged in a spirited exchange of ideas on the topic, ‘Social Media has impacted our personal relationships and social interactions in a positive manner’. The debate comprised seven teams, each representing their respective sections. The participants spoke for and against the motion, presenting compelling arguments backed with facts, logic and real-life examples. Participants speaking for the motion highlighted how social media has bridged distances, nurtured long-distance relationships, supported networking and enabled introverts to express themselves more freely. On the other hand, those against the motion argued that it has led to superficial connections, reduced face-to-face communication and contributed to emotional isolation and digital addiction. Each speaker presented well-researched arguments, countered rebuttals intelligently and engaged the audience with their confident delivery and persuasive skills. The auditorium resonated with applause and thoughtful reflection as the debate unfolded. The judges assessed the speakers on the basis of clarity, content, conviction, body language and rebuttal. The best speakers emerged out to be as Sarayu of X B in the first position followed by Sachleen Chabbra of XA in the second position and Koya Prabhave of XD in the third position. The Principal, Smt.P.Kanchana Valli announced the winners and congratulated them for their spirited efforts and emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced approach toward social media in real life. The debate not only enhanced public speaking skills but also encouraged students to reflect deeply on the role of technology in shaping modern human relationships.
