CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME BY CBSE LIFE SKILLS
Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad organized a Capacity Building Programme on Life Skills, under the aegis of the Central Board of Secondary Education on 1 August 2026, by CBSE Resource Persons Dr. Padmavathy Tungaturthi, Founder Director of Fusion International School, an eminent educationist with over three decades of experience in the field of education and Mr. Ponturu Anil Kumar, Principal of Pragnya Global School to empower teachers. The session aimed to empower educators with practical strategies to nurture essential life skills among students, enabling them to become confident, responsible and emotionally resilient individuals.
The programme began with a warm welcome address followed by the keynote speech delivered by Dr. Padmavathy Tungaturthi, who emphasized the importance of continuous professional development in the changing landscape of education by encouraging everyone to prioritize their life skills. She highlighted the significance of integrating life skills into classroom practices and emphasized the role of teachers in fostering critical thinking, emotional intelligence, effective communication, collaboration and ethical values among learners.
Sri. Mr. Ponturu Anil Kumar shared valuable insights on experiential learning, student engagement and the importance of creating inclusive and learner-centric classrooms. The resource persons provided teachers with innovative approaches to make learning meaningful and holistic through interactive activities, discussions and real-life examples.
The programme emphasized the importance of creating active and collaborative learning. Special focus was given to address diverse student needs through practical approaches and effective classroom strategies. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from the teaching staff, who appreciated the practical and thought-provoking sessions.
The Capacity Building Programme was a resounding success, leaving participants enriched with knowledge, inspired to integrate Life Skills into their teaching practices and concluded on a positive note by reaffirming the school’s commitment to continuous professional development and excellence in education.
