In-Service Training on Soft Skill Management

An in-service training on Soft Skill Management was organized at Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad, on 6th June, 2025 to empower educators with essential soft skills that are necessary for a thriving educational environment. The session was facilitated by Mr. Anand Krishnaswamy, a renowned author, educational trainer and leadership coach who emphasized the importance of soft skills management.

The workshop commenced with a warm welcome to the resource person, followed by an insightful introduction highlighting the need to balance soft skills with hard skills in today’s professional world. He emphasized on how communication, collaboration, empathy and conflict resolution play a vital role for a healthy school culture.

He also elaborated on how communication serves as the backbone of a well-functioning school, enabling collaboration, reducing misunderstandings and building a cohesive work culture. Participants were introduced to the various forms of communication and feedback, stressing their role in effective classroom management, parent engagement and staff collaboration.

An engaging section of the workshop focused on conflict resolution techniques, building empathy, growth mindset development, the importance of goal setting and annual planning for teachers. The workshop concluded with practical takeaways on intentional communication, self-reflection and setting aspirational (SMART) goals.

The workshop was a fruitful experience that equipped the faculty with practical tools and insights to integrate soft skills effectively into their professional environment.
