SADGURU SRI TYAGARAJA ARADHANOTSAVAM
Jubilee Hills Public School reverberated with divine melodies as it hosted the Sadguru Sri Tyagaraja Aradhanotsavam on 31st January,2025, a tribute to the legendary Saint-composer Sri Tyagaraja Swamy. The event, immersed in devotion and cultural significance, brought together students, parents, and teachers in a spiritually enriching celebration.
The program commenced with Nagara Sankeertana, where students and teachers participated in a soulful procession, singing bhajans and keerthanas in reverence to the saint. This was followed by the Deepa Prajwalana, a ceremonial lamp-lighting by parents and the Principal, Ms. P. Kanchana Valli, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness through music and knowledge.
Ms. P. Kanchana Valli then delivered the welcome address, emphasizing the importance of preserving and propagating classical music traditions among young learners.
The heart of the event was the rendering of Tyagaraja Keerthanalu by students, who showcased their musical talents by singing some of the saint’s most cherished compositions with devotion and skill.
The program concluded with Mangalam, followed by the offering and distribution of prasadam, spreading divine blessings among all attendees. The vote of thanks was delivered in gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
The celebration culminated with parents’ feedback, where they expressed their appreciation for the school’s commitment in instilling cultural and spiritual values in students through such enriching experiences.
