Class III Field Trip
CLASS-III FIELD TRIP TO BIRLA PLANETARIUM
As part of the extended curriculum, Jubilee Hills Public School organized a field trip to the “Birla Planetarium” for students of class III on 28th October, 2024. The aim of the trip was to give the children a first-hand experience of the Golden Age. The children were thrilled to have a day just for them.
“Journey Through the Universe,” a planetarium show, was the visit’s highlight. Suddenly, tiny twinkling stars lit up the dome in the pitch-black auditorium. When the kids saw the universe’s replica, they were in awe. The solar system, constellations, and cosmic phenomena were among the subjects covered in the program. It was a spectacular show. After the show, the enthusiastic students were seen indulging in discussions with each other. They showed how well they understand astronomy.
The display of a sizable “dinosaur” at the Dinosaurium was the visit’s next highlight. For the children who believed dinosaurs existed only in fantasy, the exhibits created a legend.
For the enthusiastic students at the “Birla Science Museum,” archaeology was another important subject. A variety of unusual archaeological artifacts, both excavated and collected, were on show. The museum’s interior was set up with multiple sections, each devoted to a distinct field of science. Students were able to explore deeper into experiments for a better understanding thanks to the interactive exhibits. The section on the evolution of life provided information about the past of earthly life. The students gained knowledge of the diversity of species and the process of evolution.
They got to see a variety of souvenirs from the Stone Age to the modern age of mankind. They also saw the skeleton of Kotasaurus standing majestically amidst various other fossils from its time.
The combination of interactive exhibits, informative displays and the planetarium show made for an immersive and experiential learning environment that helped the inquisitive minds acquire knowledge about the concepts that had always interested them.
