CYCLOTHON

Twenty students of Jubilee Hills Public School participated in ‘1st Edition of Winners on Wheels’ cyclothon , an event held as a part of Sarcoma Awareness Month by Apollo Cancer Centres. This initiative is aimed to create awareness and encourage positivity about cancer treatment for better quality of life.
The event was flagged off by Ms. Shobhana Kamineni, Executive Vice Chairperson, Apollo Hospitals. Local cyclists and children from Jubilee Hills Public School participated in it. The clinicians, doctors and medical staff of Apollo Hospitals also took part in this programme.
Speaking on the occasion Ms. Shobhana Kamineni said, “Our mission with each passing year is to spread awareness about cancer and constantly speak on the need for timely detection and treatment”.
The zealous students cycled a stretch of 5 kms with great enthusiasm.
The Chairman of the school, Shri. A. Murali Mukund, Principal Smt. M.Varalakshmi appreciated the students for their participation.

CAREER GUIDANCE-JHPS

Making the commerce stream more relevant in today’s times, Jubilee Hills
Public School continues its strive to bring the best of guidance to its students.
The School’s Senior Secondary section organised a career guidance and
counselling session on 29th of July’2022, which had eminent accredited CEO
Coach, Dr.D B Raju, as the guest speaker.The programme was presided over by
the Principal, Mrs.M Varalakshmi .
Dr.Raju highlighted the importance of the study of commerce and how it forms
the core of all businesses thereby emphasizing its profound sway in all
walks.The diverse options that are open to commerce students were listed out
to raise the confidence of the students in their choices. Students were further
motivated when the Principal urged them to ‘never give up’ in life.
Individual queries of students were attended to and answered towards the
close of the session.
A vote of thanks drew curtains to the event.

Health Week

Health Week– Press Report
As a part of the Health Week observance at Jubilee Hills Public School, a Health Check Up was conducted for the students of school in the school premises from 25th July to 30th July’22.
A Complete Eye and Dental checkup was done by a team of doctors including Dr. Hujaifa, Dr. Tariq S. Nandu, and Mr.Bharath from Apollo Hospitals who ensured that students become conscious and aware about their health and prioritise wellness. . The students interacted with the visiting team of doctors and clarified their queries about various first aid techniques.
During the health week, various activities were conducted in the school to highlight the importance of sound health ,nutrition and regular physical activity. The students were also made aware of healthy food habits and personal hygiene.
A Public Awareness Program on Common Emergencies including administering the CPR was also conducted by the team of doctors .The Students enthusiastically participated in the program which could help them in dealing with medical exigencies like snake bites, dog bites, chest pain, epilepsy attacks, burns etc. They were also given hands on demo of the CPR.

CBSE – Results

Jubilee Hills Public School has proved its mettle once again by achieving 100% success rate in CBSE Class 10th Exam Results.
Devang Rastogi and Nehasree Aravapalli stood first with 486 marks with 97.2 % in Class X CBSE and 70% of the students secured above 75% marks.
In the Class 12 exam results, Prakriti Agarwal topped the school with 94.8% with 474 marks in the commerce stream. More than 90% students scored above 60% marks.
School Principal, Mrs.M. Varalakshmi and Vice Principal ,Mrs. P. Kanchana Valli praised the efforts of the students.
The Chairman, Mr. A. Murali Mukund, congratulated the students, their parents and teachers of Jubilee Hills Public School on this outstanding accomplishment.

Health Camp

Health Camp
As a part of the Health Week observance at Jubilee Hills Public School, a First Aid workshop was conducted for their students in the school premises on 28th July’22.
A team of doctors from Apollo Hospitals including Dr.Niranjan Panigrahi, Dr. Lakshmi Narayana, Dr.Srinivas and Dr. Chandana which was led by Dr. Swarna Deepak conducted the Public Awareness Program on Common Emergencies including administering the CPR.
In her welcome address, the school Vice Principal Ms. P. Kanchana Valli spoke about the importance of creating an awareness among students about the lifesaving skills of CPR and First Aid to be followed during common emergencies.
Dr. Deepak while speaking to the students highlighted the significance of young people learning the lifesaving skills to ensure rise in survivors rate.
The Students enthusiastically participated in the workshop which could help them in dealing with medical exigencies like snake bites, dog bites, chest pain, epilepsy attacks, burns etc. They were also given hands on demo of the CPR.
The doctors patiently clarified all the queries posed by the students about handling various common medical emergencies.
The interactive session was very beneficial for the students.

24th World Education Summit & Awards

Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad has been bestowed with the 24th
World Education Awards 2022 under the category of ‘Excellence in
Technology Integration in Education’. The event was organised on the eve of 28th
July 2022 by Elets Technomedia Private Limited – India’s Premier Event on
Innovation in Education.
The Award was presented by Mr. Naveen Mittal, IAS – Commissioner of
Technical and Collegiate Education, Government of Telangana. The School
Principal, Ms. M.Varalakshmi, received this award on behalf of the school.
During the one hour panel discussion, Ms. M. Varalakshmi said, “Schools
have started adopting the use of smart technologies at a rapid pace after the
pandemic.” In the course of the discussion, she also emphasized on the need
for teachers’ training.

GURU BRAHMA DAY

“Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwara.
Guru Sakshath Para Brahma, Tasmai Sri Guruve Namaha.”

Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad, held a virtual celebration of ‘Guru Brahma Day’ on 13th July, 2022 with a great zeal.
The students were enlightened with the importance of Guru Purnima Day and how a Guru plays an important role spiritually and academically in each ones lives. The teachers emphasized that a Guru removes the darkness of ignorance and bestows with knowledge and wisdom.
The students expressed their devotion by giving a heartfelt thanks to the teachers for nurturing and moulding them to face the challenges of life.

Van Mahotsav 2022

The earth is full of trees and plants and without which, this beautiful environment is of no importance. Jubilee Hills Public School celebrated “Van Mahotsav” virtually on July 14, 2022, despite the state being enveloped in torrential rains, in order to raise awareness among the students. It is an annual tree-planting festival which is celebrated in India every year. It is celebrated in the first week of July that is from 1st July till 7th July.
Van Mahotsav day/week is celebrated to raise awareness among individuals regarding the importance of trees and inspire citizens to plant more of them.
The students were encouraged to devour green lunch and snacks while dressed in green clothing. A video ‘going green’ was displayed; encouraging viewers to turn off the lights, close the faucets , keep the school neat and tidy and practice the 3R rule- Reduce, reuse and recycle. The video also featured a song that emphasized the value of planting trees to all people, as well as to birds and other animals.
The students promised the earth a pledge to safeguard to move into a bright green dream future that we all deserve.

Parent Orientation Program

Jubilee Hills Public School, Hyderabad organized an extensive Parent Orientation Program spanning from 7th to 10th June’22 for the parents of Pre-Primary, Class 1, Class 6 and Class 9 students.
The main objective of this program was to familiarise the new parents with the Curriculum, teaching methodologies, evaluation system, co- scholastic activities, and various other programmes of the school.
The parents were briefed by the Principal Ms. M. Varalakshmi about the major milestones achieved by the school in the last few academic years. Important information regarding mode of fee payment, mode of communication with the school, and other relevant details were provided to the parents. The various new initiatives taken up by the school management for the students were also introduced to the parents. The co-scholastic and extra-curricular activities provided by the school were also touched upon. She wished for a fruitful collaboration between the parents and the school for a successful year ahead.
The Vice Principal Ms.Kanchana Valli and the Primary Headmistress Ms. Vidhu Mohan presented an overview of the Curriculum, the Assessment pattern and the Parent Portal facilities to the Secondary and Primary section parents respectively. The Vice Principal also highlighted the CBSE Board Exam Assessment pattern, and the other necessary details to the parents of Class 9 students.
The Presentations were followed by a Question- Answer session. The school authorities patiently resolved all the parents’ queries.
The Orientation was very successful as it made the parents aware of the readiness of the school to welcome the students to the post pandemic academic session.
